Alagna

Alagna is nestled under the towering Monte Rosa mountain. This majestic mountain range is a natural border dividing Italy and Switzerland. Alagna’s unique architecture of small wooden houses and hamlets with overhanging roofs and wooden balconies on each level, originated from their Swiss ancestors.

They ventured over the high mountain passes in 1170 A.D in search of new grazing pasture and a place to settle. As well as being part of a unique Germanic culture, Alagna holds many mountain secrets and is a haven for sports enthusiasts. The off piste skiing is some of the finest in Europe which is accessible easily by the new lift system.

You can also venture further a field and step into a helicopter and be flown to the top of a dream mountain and ski kilometres of virgin snow in a winter wonderland at your own pace. For those of you are seeking more of a challenge, the overwhelming feeling of climbing Monte Rosa in Summer is quite unforgettable.

The Monte Rosa offers such incredible adventures in a high altitude environment.
