Quick to read facts

ALAGNA

Small, attractive Italian ski resort, in the Pedemont region of Italy.

THE MOUNTAIN

Monte Rosa, the second highest mountain in Europe at 4634metres.

3 VALLEYS

Ski over the three Italian Valleys, Alagna Valsesia (Piedemont), Ayas and Gressoney (Aosta Valley).

DISTANCE FROM AIRPORT

The nearest airport to get to is Milan Malpensa. From here it is an hour and a half to Alagna. For more details see section ‘on how to get there.’

LEVEL OF SKIING

The beauty of having such a wide choice over three valleys is there is the right sort of skiing for everyone.

LIFT SYSTEM

State of the art, new in 2004, can take 100 people up the mountain in one go. From there you can take your pick as to which valley and direction to go.

OFF PISTE SKIING

Excellent, especially on the Alagna side. Check out this seasons ‘Good Ski and Snowboard Guide’, as well as the section on the ski area.

APRES SKI

Caffe and bar culture, and a range of excellent restaurants in Alagna. There is something for everyone. Not a large resort however, and therefore no nightclubs, pubs etc. Several newly renovated restaurants have appeared recently.

ACCOMMODATION

Something for everyone, all stars of hotels (all unique in style) as well as apartments and studios for longer or self catering holidays.

NEW THIS YEAR

There is a new bus service from the bottom car park which will take you back up to the lift station.  The cost of this is included in your lift pass.
